Assure your friend that there are no curses. The incidents that you describe are awful, but many millions of people have experienced far worse without a vengeful sister.
How can you seriously believe in such superstitious nonsense. Life is full of bizarre coincidences, and people often say hateful things without them being taken literally every time something bad happens. Bad things do happen, but if she is thinking her whole life is doomed because of something someone said 35 years ago, she is also not taking control of and responsibility for her own life which can lead to some of these problems she is having.
I am sorry about her son, that is truly awful, but a curse? Come on. What church do you belong to?
What does your priest/minister say? If they are supporting this notion, may be time to look for another church.
Curses were made to frighten people. She isnt cursed its all in her head. CURSES ARENT REAL!
Whatever is happening to her is purely coincidental. Words don't have such power. Unfortunately, bad things can also happen to good people.
Your friend needs to be positive and courageous. She should not believe in the negatives. She should be very aware of her thoughts because thoughts are powerful.
Our beliefs may affect us subconsciously.
Um...there's no such thing as a curse, full stop.
I do not believe that one person can bring a curse on another person. God is in complete control of every event in our lives. I do believe however that God will allow events to happen to us to chasten us and cause us to come back to him.
God also allows bad things to happen to us to bring us into repentance. God sometimes allows things to happen to us so that he can demonstrate his greatness to us. Take for instance when the children of Israael were faced with drowning or being killed and God parted the Red Sea for them to cross safely and then killed the enemy God has promised in the Bible that he will never allow us to bear more that we are capable of bearing.
I don't know the life that your friend has led, but I would suggest Bible study and fervent prayer asking God's direction in her life and for her to completely give her life over to God's direction and seek his face in her life. God is the only one that can make the changes necessary to restore some peace in her life.
That is a double whammy. Why hasn't your "God" protected her? Maybe she really is a bad person, but has hidden that from you, and "God" is punishing her here even before she dies?
But seriously, if she is a good person, I'm sorry for her problems. However, in life, s*** happens. Often more to some than others.
And it does NOT depend on whether a person is "good" or not. We all get ill at some time, and we all die. Deal with it.
There is no "God". There are no curses. If you believe in those, you are a superstitious primitive.
What good has belief in that fictional "God" done for you? Grow up! Give it up.
Religion is evil.
I am sorry for what happened to your friend that is terrible, however things only happen for a reason there maybe a testimony for her to give in the future. You have to understand that blaming God for things happening that are bad to someone you love or care about isnt going to change the fact that it did happen. Blaming even if not aloud the siste in law for what has happened also does not change the fact that it happened and really it wasnt her that did it.
Personally, many people have said bad things to me like " you will never have kids", " you will never have anyone love", " you are going to die before you are 18". Guess what I have three girls, a husband, and im 23, one reason I believe none of those bad things happened to me is because I gave it no energy, no time, nothing. I put I in my head that it was just words nonsense and nothing more.
I believe you give somethig even the smallest amount of energy or some kind of belief in it, it can begin to manifest itself. But on the other hand it may not be the case as I said before things happen for a reason and things always get worse before they get better, and who knows God may have a huge big purpose, giving her the testomony to be heard by all, of how she went through a rough time but God brought her out and now she has so much to share of how she made it through. You could tell your friend to have faith this obstacle will pass, it is just another hurtle to jump over and sh can do it.
She will get through it, it just takes time. Maybe even suggest that she try to mend things with her sister in law it may help. There is this song I like and the words that stuck with me the most is, "we need to start looking a the hands of the time we've been given this is all we got, we gotta start thinking that evey second counts on the clock thats ticking gotta live like were dying, we only 86400 seconds in a day to turn it all around or we thow it all away we gotts tell them that we love them while we got the chanc to say gotta live like were dying".
Please have faith and tell your friend the same. May God bless you all!
I will not claim to be an expert on curses, however, from my studies a curse can only work if the person being curse belives in the power of the other person. Your friend has to determine that they will change their life and only accept the love of God. Christians should know that once you have firm faith in the love of God, there is no other power that should be able to influence your life.
Remember the story of Job. Remeber the prayers the Lord is my Shepard and the Lord's Prayer. Recite them in your heart, mind and soul and you shuold find strenght.
I wish you the bestDR.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
