I have a Nikon Cool Pix E7600. New batteries are drained super fast when I hardly use it?

I have a Nikon Cool Pix E7600. New batteries are drained super fast when I hardly use it... I put in new batteries and use the camera for a few minutes (I don't use it often). Say a month later, I turn it on and it says the "battery is exhausted."

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
