Hello Thank's for asking about my religion, I'll try to answer all the questions that I can, and I will be sure that all my information is backed by the Quran. Well, I'm not as knowledgeable as I'd like to be. And Allah knows there are way more people with more knowledge than me, however I'd like to answer anyways.
1- Islam is a never changing religion. Even as technology grows and time's change, Islam is always and forever the same. As far as I know, this is the only religion like that.
A Muslim living 1400 years ago, should be able to live in a Muslim country now and feel exactly at home. (well actually the majority of the Muslim countries are messed up today, they don't follow Shariah like they claim too) The religion isn't changing, however the people.. I can't speak for them. Its honestly a shame that for a lot of the part, religion can't be represented by its people, even though it should.
2- Burkha is a traditonal thing, has nothing to do with Islam. Hijab and niqab are the only things that do with Islam. Hijab is mandatory for every Muslim woman (however there are a lot who don't wear it, they made their choice) and Niqab is optional.
Despite what you may here, Woman are hold at a very high standard in Islam. So high, that paradise lies under the mothers feet. And we should treat every woman like we treat our mother.
Respect due to our parents is very important in Islam. Even if your parents aren't Muslim, we should still treat them with high respect. However the mother always comes b4 the father.
Not just once but thrice before the father. 3- The 9th month of the Islamic Calendar is Ramadan. (which is happening right now) This is the time where every Muslim (who is healthy and is able to) fasts for a month.
We eat b4 sunrise and after sunset of every day for a month. But never in between. (however if a person needs to take medication through out the day, breast feeding, pregnant, too young, too old, has diabities etc, these people shouldn't fast in the month of Ramadan, they should instead make it up by feeding other people.
(I think its 60, not 100% sure)) And then after Ramadan, is Eid. Which comes the day after Ramadan ends. Eid al fitr is a celebration of the end of fasting.
And we celebrate with family and the whole Muslim community by praying together. There is another Eid called Eid al adha, which is celebrated because Abraham didn't have to kill his son and instead was told to kill a lamb (maybe sheep? , again not 100% sure).
And we all pray a special prayer this day too as well, and also kill a lamb (sheep?) and we should give half of it away. (to the poor, usually). Those are the only days.
4- I have no idea. Suicide is a sin in Islam. Killing innocent people is so much a sin that if you kill one innocent person it is as if you have killed all of mankind.
Which is like billions of people. Its totally not in the teaching to suicide bomb. I have no idea where these people got that idea from.
5- Being a homosexual is a sin. If that person is a Muslim (a person who prays 5 times a day) its forbidden to kill that person. Nor should we ever be rude or intolerant of other people.
Can always email me for more Questions, inshallah (if Allah wills) I can help. & Best Wishes.
1.No moral diff. Islam is monotheist: Jesus, son of Mary is just a human created by God. Islam is open to everyone, it is not just for a family or clan like Jews.
2. If woman wants, she can take money from father of the baby for she breastfeed it, for example. 3.
In Ramadan we fast from sunrise to sunset. No food, no drink, no sex. 4.
It's about politics. Suicide is haram (unlawful). 5.Condemnation.
"And the two who commit it among you, dishonor them both. But if they repent and correct themselves, leave them alone. Indeed, Allah is ever Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
