People have to live somewhere. I don't understand what you would report. And how does Social Security enter into the picture.

If your cousins son in law has nothing in his name I don't believe you would have to report anything. You can always say he lives there and pays you rent in cash if anything is said about it.

Social Security paymetns are based on past income and payments into the fund. Not on who lives with whom.

Please clarify that for us, as many people are confused about the differences between Social Security and Supplemental Security. Supplemental Security Income can be paid to people who are disabled or elderly who have not worked sufficient quarters to be eligible for Social Security. It is administered by the Social Security Administration because they had trained support staff. But it is not Social Security, and is not an earned entitlement.

SSI is a need- based program. I suspect you are asking about SSI, as reporting any and all sources of income is required of SSI recipients. Also clarify the status of the house: do you own this house?

Do the people who live there pay rent to you? If you receive rental income, then it must be reported to the SSI office.

I do not own the house and Yes I do recieved SSI I have stated before that I paid rent to my cousin and I helped paid groceries and deeply apologized for the confusion that the question caused AnnCallie 13 months ago .

Ann, since you don't own the house and do not receive rent from the person who moved in, there is nothing for you to report. Now the amount of rent you pay to your cousin may be a question on one of the SSI forms. I believe SSI looks at both income and expenses.

But for now, there is nothing you need to do. (And no need to apologize for your question. There are those of us who are interested in helping people, and have the knowledge and background to enable us to help.

Believe me, we frequently ask for more information when we need it in order to help. ) .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
