I have a verizon lg ally I'm going to college and my mother offered to add me bck to her at&t plan but I love my phone?

Since the Ally is from Verizon wireless it is a CDMA phone. AT&T uses GSM which is a different technology and thus, the phone cannot be used on their network or unlocked really. Unlocking just works with GSM phones.

All Verizon can do for me is to lie to me, use me to get money, and try to take my money. Why can't Verizon take a look at my phone and do some tests? My problem is, when they gave me the phone, it has had problems.

When I first activated it. And I don't want to pay $50 for a used phone that already has issues. The refurbished phones are not always "problem" phones, some of them are returned in the 14 day return period or other reasons.

And while the failure rate on refurbs is higher than on brand new models, it is not 100%. Every single refurbished phone I have EVER had ends up having multi problems. So with me, it IS 100% of the time.

The first time they told me to do the factory data reset, to only download 1 app every other day. Which I have done that. My phone has multiple issues but Verizon either wants my money or they just tell me to do something I have done over 30 times.

I have only downloaded one app each time I reset my phone but its not an app that would ruin my phone. Resetting my phone ruins it more and more each time I do it. What do you mean by "ruins it more"?

Does the phone run slower each time you reset it? More keys fail to function? You're not actually telling us what is going on, "ruin" is not nearly descriptive enough for anyone to help you.

What I mean is that, it becomes slower, it has glitches, my phone will blink constantly for minutes on end and I have to wait a while till it stops, my phone freezes, the screen doesn't work 50% of the time, the back button hardly ever works, I hardly get missed calls but I seem to get lots of voice mails, when I try to scroll up and down with my screen, it starts bouncing and glitches for about 4 mintues, or when I lock the screen then unlock it, when I need an update, 60% of the updates are never complete so I have to restart my phone and do the update again, and again, and again. My phone only gets worse bit by bit each time I reset it. I do NOT want a new phone.

Clearly you do, because you refused the offer of a refurbished device of the same model. I do not want a refurbished phone. I do not want a new phone, if it were to be new, it would be an extremely old flip phone.

I do not want the LG Ally anymore. I do NOT want an android, droid's, smart phone, iphone, none of it! And I cannot afford to get another phone off of eBay, Amazon, etc. Then why do you have a smartphone which requires a $29.99/month data package?

If you consider that you can buy a basic older phone for less than $50, and that a base phone will not require a data plan, you could save the cost of your replacement device in months. Ok, did you NOT see that part where I cannot afford a $50 refurbished phone, nor a new phone? And I am not paying the Data Plan.

IT's on a company plan so I do not pay the $29.99 for the data plan. And I would LOVE to buy a basic older phone for less than $50 but like I said, I cannot afford it at this time. And the last phone I tried to use to activate, 3 Verizon's told me that the 1 button does not work so they weren't able to activate it.

BUT they lied to me because I ended up activating it at another Verizon and they told me it worked perfectly fine. No Verizon has been able to help me. So don't go to a store to activate the phone.

Call CS to check that the ESN is clear for activation before you pay, and then dial *228 and choose option 1 when you get the new phone to program it. I cannot activate any phone without the company password BUT I am not aloud to know it SO I am unable to activate any phone by myself. They either want my money, tell me they can help me by telling me to reset my phone but really use me to get paid for commission, or they lie to me.

Why must this happen to me? All I want is a phone that works and does not cause problems. What is wrong with DOWN GRADING?

You can downgrade at any time you like by activating another phone on your line. Verizon will happily sell you any of their current models at full retail price, or you can buy one used from another source. Alright, I cannot afford ANY PHONE!

My phone isn't worth much now because they gave me a phone that likes to crack when you touch the screen. So I can't trade it in or anything. Touchscreen smartphones are made of very sturdy glass, they don't just crack because you touch them, sorry.

Well then obviously you have NEVER had a problem with Verizon. And no they are not sturdy! I had to press onto the screen kinda rough because of how messed up the screen is and then BAM!

There was a crack. All because they decided to give me a phone that does NOT work. My friend has Sprint and I have NEVER seen such good costumer service!

They took his phone, looked at it, did some tests, and they told my friend that they would get him a NEW PHONE with NO COST because they were wrong and found problems with the phone. Then port your number to Spring, get a new phone from them and pay the ETF to Verizon. If Sprint provides the phones, coverage and service you need at a price you can afford, you should get your service from them.

I totally WOULD if my phone wasn't under a company plan. SO I am stuck with Verizon forever. And, RESETING my phone IS NOT A TEST!

That's just saying that because I won't give my money to them, they won't actually help me and tell me to just reset it. Well guess what!? STILL DOESN'T WORK!

And because they have not helped me AT ALL, my screen is COMPLETELY frozen. And it has been for 3 hours now. The only thing I can do is get to the unlock screen but can't unlock it.

I can slide my phone so it does become unlocked BUT like I said, the screen is frozen so I cannot do ANYTHING. And another thing I can do is answer phone calls because the answer button is not part of the screen. Everything else, I cant do.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
