I have an ipod touch.... how can I download games (preferably free) so I can play even when not connected by wi-fi?

I would like to play games on my ipod touch, (bejeweled, really, but don't know what else is out there) but I am not connected by wi-fi very often. I would like to down load the games so I can play off line. Are web apps through apple the only way to play games on the ipod touch?

Yes for now... Currently the only way to use applications on the iPod Touch is via web apps. (It is possible to "jailbreak" your iPod Touch to give it this type of functionality, but it is not recommended and will void your warranty. ) The good news is that Apple has announced that they will be opening up the iPhone and iPod Touch for Applications.

The software that allows for this is expected to be released to the public around the end of June or beginning of July. The software upgrade will cost a small fee, probably $20, for iPod Touch users. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
