No, Yahoo hasn't stopped pumping money into the site. If anything, they're increasing it through the use of ads. Sorry for your frustration.
There are many errors that can be fixed relatively easily, though, and I hope I can help: Do you have the latest versions of Flash/Java installed? I remember having a MESS of problems when I used a new laptop for Y! A -- I realized that I didn't have two of the necessary applications installed for the site to work correctly.
Without these things being installed and updated (and they do need to be updated often), there can be many errors with Y!A. If you don't have Flash/Java installed, avatars may not load, pages will not load properly, and Y! A links (such as blocking users, adding them to contacts, e-mailing them, etc.) will NOT load.
You can install them here: http://java.com/en http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplaye... Make sure that Java and Javascript are allowed to be accessed by your browser. You can do this by going to Tools > Options > Content and clicking "Enable Java" and "Enable Javascript". Be sure that you are using the most UPDATED version of your browser.
Outdated versions often have many problems loading simple applications/pages. As for your questions disappearing, you may want to contact [email protected] and ask if they could check into your asking history (you should tell them that a couple of your questions were deleted for seemingly no reason -- without a VN or any notification). I've never heard of questions disappearing for no reason, but the staff themselves could probably tell you (I have e-mailed them and received very helpful replies).
Y! A recently underwent some maintenance which fixed a few issues on the site and, ironically, messed up a few other parts of it. The random questions disappearing may be a result of this maintenance.
As for the starred questions not appearing on the list, I've noticed that it often takes up to several HOURS for new questions I've starred to show up on the list. So I don't think it's anything you can control. This problem shouldn't persist, though, with the installation of the programs I mentioned above.
I hope this helps.
My fans would not load, I could not remove a contact, my starred questions either could I load others. So... I had a friend come over, I notified yahoo... and there was an error on the page.. We downloaded Firefox, and then, found an Yahoo that was compatible. And everything works again... You can not get rid of internet explorer... Firefox is compatible... little adjusting here, but I still have my explorer page if I want to use it... the trouble is.
You keep getting the same page, on Internet... something is really scrambled with yahoo and internet explorer! Firefox for vista is what I have now... Good luck! Lovingly Kar.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
