I have been wearing glasses for the past two months and when I wear mascara it's almost as if I feel my lashes on... As I was saying, it's almost as if I feel my eyelashes on the lens of my glasses. People who are eye glass wearers, do you experience this too? Women who wear glasses and wear makeup, is there a mascara that's not too heavy that you can recommend?

I have that problem too! I’ve worn glasses since the age of 8, and I began wearing contacts at 12. I never wore makeup until I began wearing the contacts, but in my late teens, I started wearing glasses again, and I now wear them full time.

Much of the time I don’t wear mascara because my lashes are naturally very long already, and because I feel my glasses would obscure the eye makeup, aside from the annoying sensation of my lashes dragging the lenses. As I said, I have naturally long lashes anyway, and I don’t need length as much as just the definition of the lashes. I use an eyebrow comb/brush to apply clear mascara, which outlines the lashes for definition, but doesn’t get the annoying length that brushes the glasses.

Another way to ensure that you don’t overapply mascara is to simply keep an eye on your brush. When clumps start to form on the bristles, this will cause your mascara to go on heavy and clumpy. Also, if you don't already, use an eyelash curler, which will keep your lashes from going straight into your lenses..

Try this... The only time I’ve had a problem with this is if I have a wild eyelash hair. I’ve been blessed with eyelashes that have a wonderful natural curl so when I apply mascara the curl is simply more accentuated. My suggestion would be to use an eyelash curler.

If you’ve never used one be careful not to pinch your eyelid. Start at the base of the lash giving one medium pressure crimp, then move out in small increments to make a total of 3-4 crimps/curls. This should give you a lovely curl when you apply mascara and the end result will also give you a wonderful frame to show off your eyes.

I’ve seen women that appear to only crimp their lashes at the base, which literally makes them stick straight up toward their eyebrows and doesn’t look natural at all. (or at least in my opinion).
