I have Dish Network and I am upgrading my DVR this Friday. How do I save what is on my current DVR? I called Dish and they said I need to buy an external harddrive and on top of that pay them $40.
Does anyone know a way around this? Asked by orangecarebear77 9 months ago Similar questions: Dish Network upgrading DVR Friday save current called Entertainment > Television.

I am thinking probably not. I doubt they have thought of the idea of being able to link two DVRs together and download from one to the other; and I am certain they have no built in way to record to removable media.
The DVR has a USB port. I tried a using a SD card through a card reader, but that didn't work. Orangecarebear77 9 months ago .
The only workaround I can think of would be to play the shows to a recorder of some sort. I am sure copyright licensing is such that the DVRs are specifically NOT programmed to copy the recorded shows to a storage device. (and in fact, even playing them to a recorder would be a copyright violation) .
That just sucks. I only want it to save shows my kids love to watch. Thanks for your help.

Well, the good side is that children's shows tend to rerun a lot, so you should be able to find them again pretty quickly. Or if you look online, at the channel that plays the shows, you might be able to buy them on DVD.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
