It's hard not to have DOUBT, when all around you your rational mind sees NO evidence for the existence of any supernatural deity. Not surprising, since it's all man-made bullshit. As for Jesus, just a short blurb: There has NEVER been any confirming evidence found for the existence of the central character in Christianity.
He's no less man-imagined than the rest of the god-men and sun-gods that came BEFORE him (like Horus and Mithras). Keep in mind, too, that you are an accident of your birth. If you were born in Iran you'd be a Muslim, or a Jew if in Israel - no Jesus to idolize.
Don't waste your innate intelligence by embracing any religion - they're all hoaxes.
God says I will never leave you nor forsake you. There's more to it than just a feeling. If you feel as though God has left you then you need to look at Scripture.
If satan doesn't want you to be with the LORD then he'll do anything to take you away from him. Including lying to you to get you to leave the LORD> satan can't pluck us out of His hand but we can choose to walk away. If you feel alone and isolated then that doesn't have to mean give up on God.
In fact, it could just mean that God is calling you to a deeper faith. It's not about a nice, warm feeling that is constant. We get that too but it's not always like that.
Think about any relationship, sometimes you're close and if you're not staying in contact then you're not feeling close. I'll pray for you but don't quickly go by feelings. That doesn't mean God's left you - that's not possible.
If I were feeling like you, I'd honestly pray for God to reveal if I've sinned in some way that's making me distant from Him. He's still there, maybe just perhaps you've taken a step in some direction that you shouldn't have. You're not isolated from Him.
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:4 ...God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Hebrews 13:5b Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.
Psalm 34:19 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Corinthians 4:17 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholds him with His hand.
Psalm 37:23-24 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 http://www.westpalmbeachchurchofchrist.com/articles/psalms/psalms_13.html Would be good to read...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
