I have not listened to the Black Eyed Peas CD Elephunk in awhile. I got to track 3 and always skip over it. I was taken back at what I heard and was quite offended by it.
If you have this CD you know what I am talking about. Track 3 on the CD is called "Let's Get Retarded. " And where I stopped it and replayed it -- they sing the line "Bob your head like epilepsy."
I take offense to that because me and many others out there have epilepsy. And recently John Travolta's son died from a seizure. youtube.com/watch?v=FXYpzyKgAFUif you play the video up to 2:40 you can hear it said.
And it really hurts when someone makes fun of someone with epilepsy or thinks it funny when it is not. Thank you all for taking time out to understand where I come from and why it means so much to me. Goodbye! Said: 1 You aren't the only one to be offended by those lyrics. That's why they remade the song as "Let's Get It Started" and it went on to be a hit.
I'm not sure if they took the offending line about epilepsy out, but I have a feeling they did. I have the original, too, and I remember being a little shocked at those lyrics (and bothered, too) when it came out.

Goodbye! Said: 3 That is how I felt the first couple of times I heard it. A girlfriend and I were actually rewinding parts, because we couldn't believe the lyrics.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
