I Have unpaid maternity leave, Can I apply for temporary unemployment in the state of Georgia? or what else can I do?

I am also on unpaid maternity leave and am drawing unemployment (Alaska). Basically as long as I am willing and able to work then I can continue to draw unemployment. It does not matter that being pregnant you cannot accept all work as long as you can work according to a medical professional.

I did not hide the fact I was pregnant from Unemployment. Be careful when reporting why you are unemployed that you do not say you are unable to work. Your reason for leaving work cannot be "I quit because I'm pregnant", in my case for example the staff needed to be reduced, I volunteered because I was pregnant.My employer listed it as a layoff.

Had I quit voluntarily because I no longer wished to work while pregnant I would not be eligible. Once you become unable to work you will have to stop drawing.My last pregnancy once I went into labor for example, I had to stop drawing. Long answer short you can apply, however you may be denied depending on your circumstance.

It is possible to be approved while pregnant. Even if you are denied, you tried no harm in that. If you are denied I would look into other public assistance programs such as food stamps and temporary cash assistance.
