Well it depends on whether you look at the story from an allegorical or literal standpoint. Most of the arguments against Christianity I put forth come from a literal reading of the Bible, because that's the way a Fundamentalist Christian would read it.
The Bible, as far as I know, never actually says it's an apple, it's just the "forbidden fruit" and I'm not sure when it began to be interpreted as an apple but it's a familiar idea in people's minds.
In the bible, they never mentioned an apple. They just said eating from the tree of knowlege of good and evil. So basically you are right, it's a metaphor, and was never supposed to mean a real fruit of some kind.
The rest of your stuff I can't follow.
I don't personally think it is an apple because there is no reference of it in the Word as far as I can tell. What I do believe is that it is fruit that should not have been eaten and if believers or anyone else knew what it was for sure, there would be no market for it.
As far as the aliens thing goes... I don't know where you are going with that or what it has to do with the Virgin Mary.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
