Nt nt: Most polls are useless. Many problems with polls: (1) People do not tell the truth about how they feel if it would make them look bad. For instance if you ask spanic women if they buy baby food in the jar, they’ll all say nooooo, they cook up their own (there is some cultural thing at work here ).
But if you look in their trash cans, hmmm, lots of Gerber jars. Same thing if you ask people anything about sensitive subjects like sex or abortion. We lie like rugs.(2) You don’t get a "better" answer if you ask more people, if everyone is equally uninformed.
For instance any question about evolution, stem cell research, or anything technical, all you do by asking the man-on-the -street, even asking a million of them, is just a more average uninformed answer. (3) The people that will sit still for a poll tend to be folks with lots of time on their hands, and not the more informed folks either.(4) It’s critical to see how the question is worded. Tiny little nuances make a huge difference in the results.
For instance, if you ask people "Is it okay to smoke while praying?", 82% disapprove. If you word it "Is it okay to pray while smoking? ", 24% disapprove.
Wording is crucial, and you can slant the results any way you want depending on the exact wording of the question. Fox News is super-good at this, wording questions along the lines of "Are you happy in having to pay for abortions for Tajikistani Moslem crack-addicts? " (5) Public opinion arrives pre-swayed by all the Faux News and Rep noise about "Death Panels" and "FEMA death camps".
All the poll is measuring is the depth and gullibility of the public.
CNN is pretty impartial, but they have some liberals too. I think that question is open to interpretation. I happen to believe that out of all the major news networks CNN is probably the most "neutral".
And notice how I said neutral in a quote, this means that there are some Anchors who do not hold back and totally show their political preference on air. I could start saying names but I rather not. There are a couple liberals in there that do not hide it..
2 Hmmmm Not particularly....I think, if you pay attention to polls, then you should look at a number of them and get a consensus.

3 No ones polls are a good representation of anything. Too many variables, and frankly, not enough people are polled to get a accurate sampling.

" "Lou Dobbs quit CNN today do you think there is any truth to the rumor that he is going to FOX NEWS?" "A CNN poll today says that Obama and McCain are in a "dead heat. " What do the electoral polls say? " "Since the liberal main stream media can't beat Fox News honestly in the ratings, are liberals now trying to silence them" "Should Liberals or Progressives Replicate Fox News?" "Obama's problem is that four times more Americans watch Fox News than CNN says London newpaper.
Good point? " "Do you believe POLLS? Do you believe this one?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
