Less quality time with families Since the internet has become a big part of my daily life (and everyone’s lives for that matter), the only one aspect I can think of that has negatively impacted my life is the fact that the internet sucks you in to whatever you might be doing (great example, are we ready people ASKVILLE). What I am getting at is that the internet has cut into my and probably many other people’s family time and their "quality of life. " For instance, when I get home from work (right now I am not working but you know what I mean) I am on my pc, on the internet, more than I am not.

The same thing goes for when my husband gets home. He recently got the IPOD classic so this being his new toy, where does he download all of his music, music art, movies, tv shows, etc.? From the internet of course. How many people do you know (my mom is a huge one) who are ebay junkies?

My mom, if she had nothing to do for an entire day, she could be sitting at her computer going back and forth from her yahoo email to Ebay to any of her dog websites that she shops at. I’m curious if others agree that the a major negative of the internet (and now many people have numerous computers in their house, which means many places in the home to access the internet) is how it takes away people from spending quality time with their loves ones. Hasn't ruined my life at all....quite the opposite! The internet has made my job easier, although in some ways it has made my job more intense. The internet has made me a more informed person.

The internet has helped me meet new people. It helps me keep in touch with dear family and friends that I don't live near. It has entertained me for hours.

The only bad thing I can think of is that I spend too much time on it and so I'm not as physically active as I should be with walking and biking around ........but oh well....... some people party ......some people watch TV, I sit here and have a good time! Sources: me .

I get very frustrated at night when I have only a few hours after dinner and I have to decide between ..... reading, submitting turns in play-by-email games, and participating on Askville. When I had only books, life was so much easier to deal with.

Absolutely in no way has it ruined my life I love it. I don't know what I did without it. So much information at the tips of my fingers!

So much music - even songs from 50 and 60 years ago - sweet memories! Access to Book titles, music, health info, email and most of all: Askville! Where I find myself every night talking to other Askvillers, learning about everything under the Sun, playing song and movie games and answering questions..
