Stay at the Fort Mason Hostel. It is an old military barracks. Great location.
Lots of amenities, and cheap. It is just west of the San Fransico Wharf area. Close to Ghiradelli.
Help Kimbob find the perfect place to stay in CA! I need y'all's help. I have a work trip to CA in March.
The class says it's in San Francisco, but upon further investigation, it's in the Oakland/San Leandro area. I have to sit down with HR tomorrow to book my flight & hotel - but I'm struggling to find the best place to stay. Ty says (and I quote) "Oakland is full of gangs - Crips & Bloods!
- and I won't sleep a wink if you stay in that city". God bless him. I know ALL of Oakland isn't a cesspool, but I would like to stay in a nicer area.
San Fran sounds great, but the commute might get me, as my class is from 8 to 5 daily. I've been looking in Berkeley, San Mateo, Burlingame, and Alameda - but I have NO CLUE wtf to stay. I'd *really* love to stay in San Fran, but I'll have a car - which is a must btw - and parking from what I hear is a nightmare.
And I doubt work will spring for $45 day valet parking... What a rip off. Does anyone know a NICE San Fran hotel that is near some cool stuff that has free parking, or maybe a $20 or less daily self park fee? It takes 46 muscles to frown but only 4 to smack em in the face with a shovel and 5bucks to pay some messcans to bury their sorry asses.

We stayed near Fisherman's Wharf. There was a garage there that wasn't too bad or you could pay to park at the hotel in the lot. You did not have to valet.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
