I need to have a surgery that is medically necessary or I will go Blind but my ins refuses to pay for the surgery (cont)?

It's not like I am trying to get botox or a face lift covered. I mean come on! You know?

I will definitely be making calls to whomever I have to and complain complain complain and annoy them untl they have no other choice. This is my sight we are talking about here...One more thing... I know the insurance lady at my docs office said that the actual hospital that the doc works out of to do the surgery won't negotiate with my plan and they on't acept it...My eye surgeon has always been willing to work with me and he knows my situation..one surgey he comletely wrote off because he knew I needed it but couldn't pay. SSo I think this is more of a hospital issue and that is the huge art because the hospital bill with the Operating room time...anesthesia is like a good 25,000 dollars (due at time of service might I add) There is no way in heck I am able to pay that so I am doing whatever I have to to get something figured out.

I was thinking again about the legal situation and I can't even fathom how it could possibly be legal to deny someone coverage who doesn't have the money to have a procedure done that would cause a serious disability if not done. You would think they would want to take care of it instead of me becoming blind and the government being forceed to pay me disability income the rest of my life...there has to be something legally that can be done, I just cant see how they could deny this as if going blind is considered an "acceptable" option...ugh those insurance companies sometimes make me sick. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
