You haven't said what units you want. For example, 1 real month = what? Story months or story years?

Let's assume you want to convert from real units to the correlating story units. 10 real years = 126 story years (126 story years)/(10 real years) = (12.6 story years)/(real year) In your story, time passes 12.6 times as fast as the real world. 1 real year = 12.6 story years 1 real month = 12.6 story months 1 real week = 12.6 story weeks etc.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
