Maxine. It's a family name that means a lot to me, so naturally I like it a lot. A lot of people deem it to be a rather out-dated name that isn't used much anymore, but I disagree completely.
It holds such an appealing regal and vintage edge to it that I doubt it will ever be too old to use. It's sophisticated, old-fashioned and a classic. However, it still manages to have a modern aspect to it.
It reminds me of a very independent, determined, ambitious young woman. It comes with a lot of character, but I also think that it's a lot like marmite. It has a harsh, strong edge to it that puts a lot of people off, but it has the opposite effect for me as it makes it seem more attractive.
I find that you either like it or you don't. In my case, it ticks all of my boxes. It wasn't a name that I ever considered much in the past, as I hadn't even begun to settle on a specific naming style unlike now, but it's grown on me immensely over the recent months.
It holds a lot of meaning for me, so I can't see myself disliking it even if I wanted to. It doesn't get a lot of positive reviews on here, which is a shame. Where I live, it's a very popular name for women in their 40's, so people often say that it's past it's sell-by date.
Just because it isn't used anymore doesn't make it less of a beautiful name, which I think that it is. It gets underestimated a lot, and despite how wonderful it is, I can't see it making a comeback anytime soon. It's great that you like it.
As long as you love it like you said you do, nothing else matters. I think you have very good taste to have chosen this name. Just remember that not everybody is going to like it, though, so you're bound to get mixed responses.

Yes I like the name Maxine. I wouldn't use it though since my husband wouldn't like it because he had a dog named Max and he doesn't like using "repeat" names, or similar names that he has come across before in his life.....
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
