I received my approval letter for Social Security Disability 2 weeks ago. When should I expect my award letter? Im in PA I filed my initial application in may 2010.

Got denied the first time in November 2010. Had my hearing with the ALJ (Administrative Law Judge) on April 13,2011. If I received my approval letter 2 weeks ago, does anyone know approxiamately ho long it takes to receive the actual award letter telling me the amount I will receive each month?

You will receive whatever is on the forms you get from Social Security on a regular basis. Should be retroactive since you were denied the first ti me. All I know is I were able to work at anything, it would be preferable to the pittance I receive each month, Good luck.

Thanks. And yes trust me if I was able to work I would be doing my 40 hour weeek PLUS overtime. I am not even able to put in words on how badly I actually want to be working and out there in the work force contributing to society.

I feel ashamed that I had to apply for disability, but I'm trying to accept and come to terms with the fact that I actually truly can't work and that I need to take the help that I can get. It's hard to accept that you have diabilities that prevent you from being a regular part of society and do normal things . My true hope someday is that I'll be able to be bettwer and my mental/physical conditions will be well enough that I'll be able to return to work, but in the meantime I still am thankful for being approved.It is still a lot more helpful than the 200 a month from state assistance.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
