There is a difference between 'taking a stand' and burning a quran. One can oppose, discuss, complain, file a lawsuit, or use any other legal means to object, but burning a religious book, knowing it will provoke the 'other side' is widening the gap between 'us' and 'them' isn't helping the situation. Also, it shows little respect for other religions, which is pretty strange, if you realize that Muslims basically believe in the same God (they only call and have a different religious book).
So, in effect, Pastor Jones is opposing his own religious beliefs. Isn't that a bit ironic?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
