There's RAM, ROM, and a hard disk or SSD memory in there. Most laptops need all of them in place. I assume you've tried putting it back in.
If the laptop stopped working, then either you did not put it back in correctly, or it got damaged by static electicity while it was out. If it was a little min credit-card sized memory card, try taking it out and putting it back in again. It should slide into the tiny slot so the gold-plated edge disappears into the slot, then you press it down so it snaps into the tinymetal latches. If it was the hard disk you took out, unplug it again and look at the microscopic little needles in the plug.
They should all be there and perfectly straight. Plug I back in makng sure the plug fits all the way into the socket. If that still does not help you may have something broken and it needs professional help.
Put it back No computer will work without any memory in it.
Tech time! May I ask why you went in and removed memory? Were you adding memory?Blessings.......Annlee .

2 Try to not touch the components on the ram when you touch it; edges only. If you take the ram out, you might want to have it tested. This user has been banned from Askville.

3 Shared video memory. Common in laptop computers, particularly Dell. If you expect to see something on the screen when you have no RAM in the computer, you won't.
If what you are saying is, you took it out then put it back, and it doesn't work, then either you fried the module or you did not reinstall it correctly.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
