I want to build my blog using joomla...would you advice me otherwise or is joomla ok for blogging?

If you want to be able to make it your own, meaning do what ever you like with your blog, sell, advertise, write would you like etc, then definitely go with wp.org. Host your blog, it's pretty cheap these days. To do a lot of this you will need plugins (like lzlio90 said) that are only available to Wordpress blogs.

Joomla is ok for blogging. But, if I were you, I will use wordpress instead as it has lots of plug-ins and extensions for blogging than in joomla...

I will vote for Wordpress rather than Joomal or Drupal, especially for single person maintenance blog sites. And also to start small and grow big.

Joomla is meant for massive websites (if I am not wrong) with multiple teams maintaining different sections.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
