I want to make up a cookbook of family recipes. I know how to type in the recipies-but how do I put them on a DVD? I want them to be searchable.

I know how to do a TOC for a printed edition, but don't know how to do it on a DVD or CD - I want them in some type of order. Which type of program should I use to enter them Word, Power Point, Database, Publisher? I would suggest that you may do quite nicely with using a hosted Weblog software. Blogger, TypePad, and WordPress.com will all allow you to create a recipe library that is both searchable and categorized. All you need to do create a category system for your recipes and then enter the recipes (one per blog post) and indicate to which category (or categories) each recipe belongs.

Many people are doing that already; check out the Recipes section on WordPress. Com, for example... This way, all your recipes are available the second you enter them; you don’t need to worry about whether your intended readers have Windows, Mac, or Linux with all necessary programs installed; all they need is a Web browser and an Internet connection...

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
