Oh, college... here suggestions, pick and choose! 1. A roll of quarters.

Otherwise he might never do laundry. In my experience, even the new machines that let you use cards or pay online still take quarters. Also in my experience, sometimes it comes down to scrounging up a few quarters.2.

A nice mug and the coffee/tea of his preference. He doesn't drink a caffienated morning beverage yet? He will.3.

A quick laundry reminder guide if he's not the most experienced.4. Shower shoes!Just... shower shoes.5. If his bed now isn't a twin bed, sheets would be nice.6.

Putting everything in laundry basket or organizational plastic box could work well 7. Scissors, stapler, 3 hole punch, binders, folders, pens, paper 8. Detergent and fabric softener 9.

A small coffee pot or hot pot (depending on if he likes coffee or tea) 10. Trash bags 11. Cleaning materials for the room 12.

Frisbee 13. A whiteboard for the door to the room (you know the ones with the sticky stuff) 14. A hat or t-shirt from his college 15.

A good book from a favorite author (or a movie or something to occupy time in a non-studying way) 16. A few snacks (popcorn, crackers, relatively healthy things) 17. Masking tape for hanging stuff on the walls 18. A poster for a favorite movie or band 19.

Something that matches a hobby of his 20. Depending on what his living conditions will be like (access to a kitchen), possibly the red Betty Crocker binder book.My first cookbook and what I still recommend to everyone I meet as a starter book. So those are some suggestions.

I think a theme of laundry, caffeine, and snacks is... the usual (and with good reason!). Here are some fun and practical ideas. Just for fun. My school used to do "study snacks" as a gift basket you could send through the campus bookstore when midterms and finals come around. It had some small coffee packs and a lot of granola, pretzels, things like that.

You could see if there’s anything like that you can have sent his way every so often. Stuff his backpack with all sorts of things including pens and notebooks, a hoodie or jacket with the school colors, cell phone, and some sort of snacky thing to share with his new roommate(s) on the first day -- maybe your special homemade cookies or brownies he likes. -Any kind of gift card that will give him a change from the regular campus food choices.

-Some magazines he’d like or maybe a subscription. -A book he can read just for fun. -A recent family picture for his wallet.

-If he’s going away from home, something that’s particular to his hometown. Here are some practical ideas. -A stocked shower caddy.

-Two or three unusual towels that no one else is likely to mistake for their own. -A gift card for a place like Target so he can get somethings like socks and underwear and grooming items when he needs them. -Rolls of quarters for laundry if he’s using coin-op laundry facilities.

-Box of laundry detergent and a draw-string hamper bag. I’ll see if I can think of some more. Cheers!

College care package I've made similar care packages for each of my three younger siblings when they went off to school. I started by buying one of those small plastic cabinets with a few different sized drawers, because college dorm rooms never have enough storage space, in my experience. Then I put all the gifts into them.

For example: * Notebooks & paper * pens, pencils, highlighters * whiteboard and dry-erase markers * post-it notes * scissors * scotch tape * thumbtacks * rubber bands * ethernet cord * laptop computer lock & key * USB drive * three-plug adaptors * sticky tack (the yellow stuff you use to hang posters without putting holes in the walls) * mini toolset, minimum of hammer and screwdriver * flashlight * small packages of laundry detergent * roll of quarters for the laundry machines * paper plates and cups * plastic utensils * 6 pack of Mt. Dew or energy drinks * freezable mug (for soda, of course....) * pre-stamped envelopes pre-filled out with my address and the addresses of our parents and other siblings, along with a sticky note on them that says " hint" * (if logistically possible), menus from several of the local pizza and chinese places. * and the number one most important thing for every college student's dorm room: DUCT TAPE!

Okay, first get him a cheap address/telephone book and make sure that all of the numbers for family and friends are in that book. Put a big gold star next to yours and a note at the bottom that says you must be contacted as much as humanly possible! Also the following: Maybe a Pizza Hut or Dominoes gift card.

Pens, pencils, paper, toilet paper, ramen noodles, flashlight with batteries, two different types of alarm clocks, so he will have no excuse, a calling card, envelopes, stamps, deodorant, a tide pen for stains, socks, undies, junk food, dried fruit, nuts....pictures of your family! Putting together a gift basket for my son's in-home speech pathologist and want to add a book. Any ideas?

I need some neat ideas for things to put in a gift basket for a 20-year-old girl.

I am looking for a boat for a small pond. This is a birthday gift for my 16 year old step-son.

A co-worker and friend's son getting married at a small restaurant family only. Do I get her son a wedding gift.

My son is graduating from high school this year, and I would like to find a small gift to give members of his class ...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
