As everyone has different literary genres of interest, it is difficult to answer specifically; but if you enjoy romantic classics, I recommend Jane Austen's works especially Pride & Prejudice: very intense, lively, and entertaining. Hope you'll enjoy it.
Carmen was right there....depends on what you like.....I am a lost generation writers fan...anything by Hemingway, Fitzgerald or Joyce....I do believe that everyone should read the classics especially. They are called classics for a reason, but read a few pages before buying...if you don't like the way it is written or the subject, you won't like the book.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
