I was watching athe history channel "dogfights" I was curious about the combat maneuvers of U.S.pilots employed in air combat.?

A MiG-15 and a MiG-25 defected, one during the Korean War and one into Japan - Pilots were welcome - Airplanes were studied and it was found they were rubbish - If I recall, the MiG-25 was returned in pieces to the Soviets, to the last screw - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viktor_Bel... During WW. II, various allied airplanes landed in emergency in Sweden or Switzerland - These countries were neutral during that war - Crews were "interned" and not exactly a vacation - Read this about Sweden and particularly the Swiss "neutral friends" - http://neutrality.greyfalcon.us/ An 8th Air Force B-17 landed in Germany during that war - Ended to have German markings and "served" in the Luftwaffe - Crew spent the rest of the war in a Stalag Luft camp as prisoners... https://search.yahoo.com/search?p=B-17+w...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
