I was wondering how many languages we have on Askville.... you know any others than English?

Just curious... have see Filipino, French, Russian, German, Spanish, and I think one other on here. We are a kind of international community here I think. Just hidden behind the technology?

And back to your question, English is our second language though we are encouraged to learn English by heart as it's the language we will all need in the business world.

I certainly don't have any issues with the Flipino thread, tho' I'm wishing I spoke some to make everyone feel more welcome. In any case, hopefully English will suffice, "Welcome!"Btw, to answer, JayD's question, I know some Spanish but it's so rusty that while I can decipher written words pretty well if given some time, I don't think I could hold a real conversation with it anymore, alas. Wish I could but like anything else, I haven't had to use it, so as a learned language, it's left me.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
