By finally allowing yourself to satisfy your cravings without sabotaging your diet, you can keep the weight you lose off for good, saving yourself hundreds and even thousands of dollars in the process Get it now!
First of all, try to focus on some things you do well to get your focus off what you don't like about yourself. Those negative thoughts and feeling repeated over and over can really get you into a dismal mindset that's hard to get out of. Spend time with people who genuinely like you and appreciate you.
And believe them! You must like yourself in order to do the hard things it will take to get healthier. Weight loss is big business these days, and there are almost endless quantities of diets and programs and supplements and advice to sift through if you you want to lose weight.
But after all the propaganda, the only way to lose weight in a healthy way is this: 1. EAT LESS. 2.
MOVE MORE. EAT LESS As a nurse, I believe a healthy diet is very important. I recommend eating a diet with lots of variety and as many fresh fruits and vegetable as you can manage.(Vegetables are especially good for you, with fiber for good digestion and lots of vitamins and minerals, but most people don't get enough of them.) Be careful making massive changes to your diet--if you deprive yourself entirely of the things you love (like sweets or "junk food"), you will tend to binge on those things later and gain back all the weight you may have lost on your strict diet.
Instead, eat what you love, but be very aware of portion sizes, especially of foods you know are fattening. For example, if you love ice cream, don't try to do without it entirely, but have a SMALL portion as a treat once in a while instead of a big bowl every night. A lot of special "diet foods" that are "No-fat" or "Low-fat" or "Low-Calorie" have artificial ingredients that I don't love and plus they are often pretty expensive.
I find it is better to focus on eating things you know are healthy (lean meat, vegetable and fruits, whole grains) and, again, make sure you eat a variety. MOVE MORE The only way to lose weight is to use up more calories than you eat, so your body will convert some of your fat to energy. So if you are not already quite active in your everyday activities, you'll have to spend time on exercise. Pick some active things you like to do, like bicycling or tennis or walking in the park or aerobics or weight-lifting or dancing, and then make appointments in your schedule to do these activities regularly.
I find it is easiest to stay consistent if you have a friend (an "exercise buddy") to help motivate you to keep your appointment when you are not in the mood. If you make some healthy changes to your food intake and increase your amount of activity, you can't help but lose weight.
This is a health issue, first of all you should talk about this with your doctor. A professional will determine how far you are from your ideal weight (it is not a number, it is a range). This person will advice you to contact a nutricionist, this professional will work with you to find out your eating behaviour (what, when, how much you eat) and help you find a new way to relate to food.
A nutritionist or a dietician won't just give you a programme, they can teach you how to prepare your meals and how to control your ingest. This is very important because "control" doesn't necessarily mean meassuring everything you eat. It is about understanding what you really need and what you are just craving.
They will recommend you to start excercising. This has many advantages. You won't just burn calories, you will grow stronger and it will boost your confidence.
Sometimes, it also helps to see a psychologist. Self image goes beyond weight or body image. You may loose all the weight you want but still remain unhappy and it would mean you had other things you didn't like but couldn't face them.
I would try to find out if there is something else, if you make your peace with that, you may not feel the need of being super skinny once you get to your ideal (healthy) weight. Well, I hope it helps.
There will always something out there for everyone if we try to research and ask(just how you did). I just want to share my hubby's personal testimony from his nutritional cleansing program. It's not just to lose your weight naturally but also natural cleanse and gain muscles at the same time.
He's a shiftworker but he's able to commit himself and achieved his BMI he needed feeling great. If you want to have further questions, feel free to email by following the link. I hope you find better program anyway if you don't feel like going to what I'm suggesting.
I don't know where you live, but if you have a fitness boot camp near you, I really recommend it. bootcampfinder.com/graduates.html I've just recently joined one, and it's awesome. To lose weight, you basically just need to burn more calories then you take in.So doing one of these fitness boot camps at least 3 days a week can do wonders to help you burn calories.
And then just try to eat less - the easiest way to eat less is to eat very, very slow. Put your fork down between bites, and really pay attention to when your body is satisfied. Check out "I can make you thin" for more eating strategies: mckenna.com.
