I wonder if Arm and Hammer Baking Soda can be safely scented at home to use as a cat litter box deodorizer?

If you sprinkle some into the bottom of your catbox it will help absorb the odor without adding anything else to it. I scent mine to use as a carpet sprinkle and similar purposes by layering it with dried lavender buds and letting it sit a few weeks. You can leave the buds in there- your cat won't mind as long as you change the box frequently so the buds don't have a chance to get soggy - or you can sift them out. It's also good for de-stinking shoes, garbage cans and pet beds.

You can use any scented dried herb for this.

If I'm not mistaken, Arm and Hammer has a product specifically for pet smells that should work fine.

I did some searching to see if anyone has scented baking soda and did not find anything; however, I do know that cats sense of smell is extremely strong and they may respond poorly to smells we might like. This could cause your cat to use other places in your home as a litter box. Although, this being said; baking soda is a wonderful deoderizer if used correctly.

Use a ¼ cup of baking soda and sprinkle baking soda directly into litter box with each litter change. Washing the cat box monthly can also help . .. I tend to sprinkle baking soda under the cat litter too.

If you really want to try something such as essential oils .. . I would suggest talking with your vetrinary before doing so. They are a great resource for understanding the biology of a cat and what may be harmful.

Hope this helps.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
