Most people don't spend the time to mosaic a bathroom; it's not exactly a showplace in the home, and most people are more concerned with making more mainstream living spaces be attractive. There are a couple of very practical reasons to think hard about whether this is what you want. 1) More small pieces of tile means more grout.

The percentage of grout on the walls is somewhat larger if the pieces of tile are so small. Grout is somewhat more permeable than the tile itself; this means that over time the grout will deteriorate and need to be patched or the stall will need regrouting. Not a big deal, but you're opening yourself up to more frequent leaks and more grout to patch.

If you live in a cold climate and one shower wall is against an outside wall, a leak in the grout can easily go through to the outside and cause mega damage. 2) More to clean. Grout (particularly white grout) acts as a dirt catcher.

More grout means more cleaning. 3) Adherence. One reason why larger tiles stick so well is that they have larger surface area and the glue can spread over that area and make a good solid connection to the drywall.

Smaller tiles have less surface area and are somewhat more likely to lose their adherence over time. So it's your choice, but you should go into it with your eyes open.

It's your bathroom - you should do what you want I always say "do what YOU like for YOU. If you like the look of mosaic tile then go for it! Nowadays larger tile is usually what is used but that doesn't mean that is the right thing to for you.

One thing to consider with small tile in a shower is that you will have A LOT of grout lines. You will definately want to seal the grout because without sealing it, you could end up with a moldy mess in your grout lines. Larger tiles are usually used in a shower to minimize the amount of grout (and thereby minimize a home for mold) but if you seal the grout well before you first use the shower and seal it again at least every year - you should be fine and not have a mold issue.

It is important to let your shower dry out each day so keep the curtain drawn back or the shower door open after you shower so the area can dry out. Hope that helps. Toni The Tile Mural Store.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
