I'd be interested on your view on Australia now implementing automated internet censorship http://bit.ly/8Je7tw From @AlexBlom?

I think it's absolutely crazy! For one, it's way over reaching the boundaries of freedom and information. No government should have the right to filter the internet in such a fashion.

Secondly, it's nearly impossible for them to correctly categorize the millions and millions of websites out there that are legal or not legal. So it fails in that regard. Lastly, it will protect no one from anything in reality.

Unless they're going to block all Tor nodes, proxies and VPN's, it'll be impossible for the them to block anyone determined to view what they want to view, and the 99.9% of the rest of the population will suffer as a result. I can't believe something like this-- that was widely unpopular, managed to pass. I hope you Aussies fight for your rights!

It is automated and god knows what can be blocked. The project was trialled and every intelligent I.T. guy under the sun admitted it slowed internet speeds down. I think they should go after the problem instead of restrict access to a public network.

Really interested in your view. Even websites such as a simple dentist were blocked under the scheme. It is automated and god knows what can be blocked.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
