Get your facts straight. The U.S. government is considering charging a head tax on Canadians who fly into the United States or who arrive by sea. The $5.50 fee is included in the Obama administration's proposed 2012 budget.

It would also be imposed on travelers from Mexico and the Caribbean, raising an estimated $110 million per year. People coming from other countries already pay this fee. Canadians traveling by motor vehicle will NOT have to pay the tax.
