Your argument while sound in theory lacks ANY real world realistic application...
We still have 1500 nukes after this deal, that is enough to destroy the world several times. We make an exception to the "no nuking" policy for biological attacks, and states like North Korea and Iran and have enough conventional weapons to wipe the rest of the world off the map. What more do you want?
Edit- Ok, my point would be during the cold war. We "showed strength" by building a shiza ton of nukes, and the Russians responded by building more too. We responded by building more, and so did they.
Until the USSR collapsed and nukes fell into the hands of dozens of little countries with axes to grind.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
