If Chicago gun laws don't stop violence in Chicago, that means that national gun laws don't work?

Without law to regulate the society, we would be back in the days of the old west where everyone carried a gun as a routine. With laws in place, we don't have the wild west. Law only controls the law abiding citizen, not the stupid frelling idiots.

The stupid idiots will still do stupid idiot things because they don't care about any law. So the stupid idiot goes out and shoots up a school or a movie theater, law or not. Gun control law only disarms the law abiding citizen, while the stupid idiots go out and STILL do stupid idiot things, and what good does THAT do?

I do not want to live in a free-fire zone like the old west was, do you? So, we need SOME law, yes? But taking away the guns from the law abiding population only puts the citizens at the mercy of the stupid idiots who still HAVE their guns only NOW, they KNOW no one can shoot back!

I have yet to see stupid idiots shoot each other!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
