Edit 2-- I have seen people on here say 'God is outside of time', and I agree. Here is a link that I think is pretty good: https://carm.org/questions/about-doctrin... ... As others have mentioned, God is ETERNAL. ETERNAL means "without time".
It means he has always existed. So, nobody created him, he has always been here. Let's look at what we know about the universe from science for a minute.
The most prevalent theory is the big bang. At some point, TIME and space and matter began. But how can we comprehend what was before the big bang?
If it began at some point in TIME, how could that be when it itself created time? Time implies some sort of motion or change. If things stay perfectly still, they are almost timeless.
But SOMETHING happened, something 'moved', to cause the big bang! But how, when if time didn't exist for anything to happen in, did anything happen? What caused the so-called 'singularity'?
But if the big bang theory is not true, and the multiverse theory is true, we still run into the problem of ETERNITY. Our minds seek a first cause, a beginning. So, what caused the (whatever it was) to start spawning universes?
What caused the start of eternity? That question is an impossible statement logically, because eternity by definition has no start! My point is that we must just accept God is eternal just as the Bible says he is.
Our logic breaks down. Just as we cannot fathom what was before the big bang, we cannot fathom how this can be, but it is. God had no creator.
But if he did, his creator would have to be himself. Edit-- Here is an interesting experiment. Take a mirror you can hold in front of you and stand with it in front of a large mirror.
If you position it just right, you will see an eternity of mirrors in the mirror. The last reflection would be the mirror that made the mirrors. But there is (theoretically) no last reflection.
Bottom line, the universe is a miracle!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
