You're missing what the actual concept of "free will" is. In this case, having free will is the ability to make your own decisions. It does not mean that you are free from the consequences of the decisions of others that may directly affect you.
If you were a follower of "original LaVeyan Satanism," (whatever that means) as you claim, you would know this as there is no god. If there is one, then you would also know that it certainly doesn't have a personal, vested interest in the goings-on of the animals living here on this planet. This world can be a very dangerous place if you do not take care to watch out for yourself.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
