I think they will at the next General Election. It is time to break the long fiasco of failed Labour and incompetent Tories. UKIP may have brought fear to the Commons, but the fear won't last unless UKIP gets a lot of seats in the next Parliament.
Both Labour and Conservative are died in the wool failures. Both have cocked up every policy they have ever adopted and it is time for REAL change, otherwise we will be dealt more of the same and never be able to back out of the corner that both parties have backed us into. A good start would be to set a minimum IQ for prospective parliamentary candidates.
They have the most important job in the Kingdom and require no educational qualifications or minimum IQ to do it! Is this wise? The BIG problem is that, bar a revolution, the only people who can change the system is them and they aren't about to vote themselves out of a cushy job, are they?
Another problem is that the upper house is unelected! How the hell can we call ourselves a democracy if the plans of the ELECTED government can be interfered with by the UNELECTED bunch of freeloaders next door! Britain is way overdue for political reform and we aren't going to get it if we continued to allow the situation and are denied a democratic mechanism to make the necessary change.
UKIP will win if it promised to demolish the House of Lords and replace it with an elected Second (not upper) house.
Many die hard Tories have switched to UKIP so no wonder the Tories are running scared. I hope UKIP give the Tories a good thrashing at the elections and hopefully they will finish the Lib Dems once and for all.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
