I visit my own hubs a lot... I'm pretty sure I'm my biggest viewer. It may not help out in the grand scheme of things, but at least someone's looking at my work!
As already stated this is indeed counted as views. However, I believe that your analytics aren't affected as your IP address is recorded. Any views from that IP address isn't calculated in your earnings.
The only way you can screw up your earning potential is to click on your own ads for the adsense program. If you mean in terms of making google know your hubs exist, this isn't screwing things up. It's helping them.
Google won't recognize a website as existing until people have gone to the website dozens of times.
Thanks for all the input so far. I wasn't concerned with the HubPage ad program or adsense. I guess a better way of clarifying my question is, "If I am logged into HubPages and actually go to one of my own hubs, will this show up as a pageview in the HubPages 'my account' section?"
I was wondering this because each time a reply to a comment left on one of my hubs, I have to go to the hub, and it seems like I am falsely inflating my pageviews. I just like to follow pageviews for my own information.
Yes, it does count as a view, Even if you edit your hub then press done editing, it will count that as a view. It will screw up your analytics, but alas there is nothing you can do.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
