No. It is not a random two years first of all. If you do not get an Associates degree you will have to transfer each course over, and you will lose a good deal of them that way.
But even if you do get an Associates, it only is guaranteed if your colleges has a transfer agreement with the school that you are transferring too. But, schools in the region generally do have these, and the websites of the community colleges usually have a list of the Universities that they have transfer agreements with. You can also contact U of M to see which schools they have transfer agreements with, they might even have it on the website somewhere.
The thing is, those general courses differ from place to place. Some schools have gen eds that are focused a lot on humanities, and they are less apt to accept Associates from schools whose programs are not focused on humanities, or are more general. Which is why the agreement is important, and why it is not guaranteed to transfer to every school.
But again, schools in the same region are good about having established transfer agreements.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
