If I buy a real book I can resell it later. Can you resell a book purchased for a Kindle?

No you can't because of Kindle’s DRM once you download a book, it is permanently bound to your Kindle account. While the new Kindle lets you share the content if you own multiple units. You still cannot sell, trade, or give away the book when you are done with it.

This really bugs me because, U.S. Copyright law is grounded in something called the first-sale doctrine. First sale means that when you purchase a protected work, you own it outright and are allowed to dispose of it any way you want. That is why you can re-sell those real books.

Kindle’s DRM takes away our first-sale rights. It seems to me that Amazon should be able to find a way that you could transfer a Kindle book from your account to someone else’s. They could even set up a marketplace for used Kindle books, where they could take a small portion of each transaction, like Ebay.

But then most people would be looking for the used books rather than purchasing the new ones.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
