If I create intellectual property unrelated to my work while on the clock does my employer legally own it?

If it were legal they wouldn't need to clock you out. U would just get x-amount of pay no matter how long you worked. By clocking you out it cheats you of the extra time you work.

So yes, there is a reason why you get clocked out. It's all about money (dough). All the more profits.

These days people are afraid to complain because of fear. Of being fired. The government has a dept.

That takes complaints. U need to keep a log. Not just of time worked but any conversation w/boss (timed & dated).

In case you ever need to go to Labor board. Which usually leads to a group of people being done the same. Good Luck......................

In "USA - hades no. She is in violation of federal labor laws. Get a hold of payroll to get it fixed , yesterday.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
