If it is stored as a VOB image (this is most common) then you can open it and watch it using a freeware freeware viewer called VLC Viewer. Just download VLC and point to the right file. You won't have all the different navigation types of things -- access to extras, for example - but you can watch the movie itself.

If you install Daemon Tools, you can right click the little taskbar icon and select your image to mount and it will create a virtual CD/DVD drive and your computer will think it's an optical device.To give you an idea just how much faster this can be than loading from a disk: it takes 39-45 minutes to install Windows XP, but if you install it from an ISO image file it takes 10-12 minutes on the same system.
