All new purchases qualify, however, certain transactions do not. Balance transfers, cash advances, convenience checks, returned purchases, disputed or unauthorized/fraudulent transactions, interest charges and card account fees do not get ThankYou Points, unless specifically stated otherwise. Additionally, there may be annual point accrual limits.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
