When you finish walking (or exercising), you should have no more pain than when you started. If your pain is dramatically worse, check with your doctor. You could have a more serious problem that needs medical attention.
If you have a tendency to get attacks of low back pain, you should continue the exercises indefinitely to prevent new attacks.
