Thank you My neighbor has a wisteria plant that has climbed her tree, very high, and now the tree is dead or in the process of dying. Is it possible that the wisteria plant killed it or is it more likely that the tree was sick on its own? The plant will not kill the tree. Some creepers, like kudzu, will suffocate a tree, but wisteria is not parasitic. It has its own roots. So the tree must have had some other problem.
C.K. Said: 1 Nope, wisteria killed it, and it can also bend metal bars too. You have to keep it trimmed constantly or it will take over.

2 Ditto what C.K. Said. Also you shouldn't plant it so it will grow up a porch or a weak building. It will pull it down eventually .

3 Yeah, what they said. BUT....you can get a really strong arch or a nice sturdy pergola so you can enjoy the wisteria while sitting in a nice lawn chair or bench. You would still have to keep after it or it can get out of control.
I just love the stuff....which I could grow some over this way in Bavaria. I don't recall seeing any over here though.

4 I've got one trying to eat my garage. I think it's evil and I want to destroy it, but my wife won't let me. I keep tying it back, but it always finds a way to reattach itself.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
