It is the same as using the data service (3G, 4G, etc.) on your phone. Whenever you use the internet on your phone, it uses some of your data plan. PDAnet just extends that service to your computer as well.
There are no extra charges. Keep in mind, it will probably use it up a little faster than just browsing the internet on your phone. Usually, your phone browser will automatically bring up the mobile version of sites (ie.
M.facebook.com) which uses up much less data than the normal site. Unless you have an unlimited data plan, I would recommend downloading an app that can track how much data you have used so that you can keep an eye on how much you are using.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
