If liberals insist on calling Tea Party participants "tea baggers", is it acceptable for conservatives to..?

The article you provided as a sources says this "in practice, Nazism was a far right form of politics.10" Nazis persecuted minorities and homosexuals among others and were extremely nationalistic. I believe that you are projecting. Tea partiers carry signs portraying the President with a Hitler moustache and dressed as a witch doctor, as well as other racist depictions.

Conservatives held a conference at the Hilton in St. Louis where they discussed how to live under Nazis and communists and how to counter the homosexual movement. That means that conservatives were calling Democrats Nazis, as well as communists, which by the way is an oxymoron. They also promote legislation which discriminates against homosexuals.

You called Liberals Nazis while denying that you call Liberals Nazis. You see, I know of no moderate Liberals or moderate conservatives for that matter. There are however moderate Democrats, but I do not think that there are any moderate Republicans anymore.

In normal times before religious fundamentalist evangelist leaders, extreme nationalists, and conservative politicians formed a coalition and pushed politics so far to the right the President probably would have been considered a moderate Democrat. He attempts to work with conservatives, which seems to be just about all that is left of the Republican Party, but many if not most Republicans seem to be bent on tearing the country apart, even as they wave the flag and pretend they love it. It seems they are either refusing to acknowledge that the majority legally elected the President and fighting him even when he does things they like, don't want to pay their fair share of taxes, are crazies hoping for Armageddon, or are seditionists who want to start a revolution.

I think it is safe to say that most sensible people who belonged to the Republican Party have left it or are contemplating doing so. Many reasonable people think that something besides taxes is bothering tea partiers because, besides the obvious, racist posters and such, taxes have gone down for 95% of taxpayers under President Obama. The taxes of the wealthiest 5% of Americans will go back to what they were before Bush lowered them.

This disconnect with reality may be partially explained by the fact that the decreases came in increments, for instance, the amount being withheld in taxes went down. Using Australian Rupert Murdoch's Fox "News" as a reliable source to find out what is happening is a mistake. They went to court to win the right to lie and distort the news and succeeded!

They are NOT just against taxes. That's a front. If they were for everybody they wouldn't have people like Palin speak for them.

Bush acted like a Nazi. Conducted a war for personal gain, tried to kill his daddy, and his buddies corporations to steal billions of dollars of oil and water rights. Killed hundred of thousands of innocent people, Iraq war.

Suspended citizens rights under the Patriot Act. Sounds like the repubs were trying to be like them in a certain way.

Snorkelers would be fine. So would sack munchers.

Massa! I guess he did trump the G-O-P Sender who got the DUI coming from a guy nite club.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
