Luther would have nothing in common with I do not agree with the harshness of Luther's tone, but it is important that we do not take them out of their time and context. Luther loved the Catholic Church! It was not until he was excommunicated that the harsh tone towards the Pope came out.
The 95 Thesis support the Pope. Luther just wanted to have a debate with the Bishop about indulgences. Lutherans remained in the Roman Catholic Church for three years before they were excommunicated.
They debated from within the Church much like many groups still do. I pray for the reconciliation between these two groups of Christians. Jesus prayed that we all be one.
Lutherans hold more in common with the Roman Church than any other protestant Church. With the Exception of Some Anglicans. The Early lutherans would have probably just killed .
From what I understand, Martin Luther was fond of a good pint, so I think they would get on swimmingly.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
