If Amazon cancelled it, yes. If you cancelled it, there is a chance it might have already been billed out although not yet shipped. But Amazon will issue you a refund.
I got an email from Amazon yesterday saying the order was shipped, then today I got an email from the seller saying the item is out of stock & my order was cancelled. Amazon sd they weren't notified yet by the seller so I called the seller & they sd they would notify Amazon & I shld see a refund. In a case like this, would I normally see a charge then a credit on my statement?

You might. Most Amazon problems come from Amazon sellers. Technically, the seller shouldn't charge you until the order has shipped.
If he didn't charge you, then you're OK. If he charged you in advance, he'll probably issue a credit either today or in the next couple of days. If the seller doesn't, you can complain to Amazon and Amazon will remove the charge and probably kick out the seller if he jumped the gun.
You will see a charge and a credit on your statement. The charge will appear first. You should see the credit within a few days.
Because you used a credit card, you can call your bank and notify them of the transaction, exactly what happened, and that you are waiting for the credit. They will work with vendors to speed up the transaction. That is the biggest advantage of using a credit card.In any event, you should be charged no interest on the transaction.
Amazon is very good about applying credits to cancelled orders. I have even received credits where the price has dropped and they have credited me the difference.
Thank You for responding...This was my first Amazon transaction & to have it say shipped then cancelled did cause some frustration. But thanks to your first hand knowledge & experience I feel much better knowing a refund will be a smooth transaction...THANKS! JJenn 12 months ago .
"I cancelled an order and my card is still charged for it. "I order the wrong item and I cancelled the first item within 2 hours of ordering it. "I used a prepaid card on an order, but cancelled because it was placed by mistake.
"My marketplace order was cancelled by Amazon (used book) - "Your credit card was not charged".
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
